The Japanese yen strengthened against the other major currencies in the Asian session on Monday.
The yen rose to a 5-day high of 120.26 against the U.S. dollar, from last week’s closing value of 120.58.
Against the euro, the pound and the Swiss franc, the yen advanced to 132.62, 185.56 and 121.82 from Friday’s closing value of 132.70, 186.00 and 121.96, respectively.
If the yen extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 118.00 against the greenback, 131.00 against the euro, 182.00 against the pound and 120.00 against the franc.
