The Australian dollar strengthened against the other major currencies in the Asian session on Monday.
The Australian dollar rose to 0.7467 against the U.S. dollar, from an early 4-day low of 0.7408. At Friday’s close, the aussie was trading at 0.7432 against the greenback.
Against the yen, the euro and the Canadian dollar, the aussie advanced to 91.63, 1.4923 and 0.9469 from last week’s closing quotes of 91.24, 1.4988 and 0.9414, respectively.
If the aussie extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 0.78 against the greenback, 95.00 against the yen, 1.42 against the euro and 0.97 against the loonie.
