The euro strengthened against the other major currencies in the Asian session on Friday.
The euro rose to a 1-week high of 0.7048 against the pound, from an early low of 0.7036.
Moving away from early lows of 1.0918 against the U.S. dollar and 136.17 against the yen, the euro advanced to 1.0929 and 136.33, respectively.
The euro recovered slightly to 1.0717 against the Swiss franc, from an early low of 1.0707. This may be compared to an early high of 1.0718.
Reversing from an early 2-day low of 1.4305 against the loonie, the euro advanced to 1.4337.
If the euro extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 0.71 against the pound, 1.11 against the greenback, 138.00 against the yen, 1.08 against the franc and 1.45 against the loonie.
