The Japanese yen that strengthened across the board in Asian trading on Monday pulled back shortly in the succeeding trading hours.
The yen is presently trading at 92.72 against the Swiss franc and 114.84 against the euro, up slightly from its previously hit multi-day highs of 92.15 and 113.89, respectively.
The yen that climbed to a 5-day high of 81.33 against the US dollar and 131.31 against the pound slipped to as low as 81.92 and 132.15, respectively around 7:40 am ET.
The yen also erased gains after having touched a 6-day high of 85.73 against the Australian dollar and 83.10 against the Canadian dollar in late Asian trading. The yen is presently quoted at 86.25 against the aussie and 83.74 against the loonie.
The Japanese currency that jumped to a 5-day high of 64.09 against the New Zealand dollar in the early morning slipped back to 64.80 around 7:45 am ET.
