The Australian dollar strengthened against the other major currencies in the Asian session on Tuesday.
The Australian dollar rose to a 4-day high of 0.7841 against the U.S. dollar, from yesterday’s closing quote of 0.7801.
Against the yen, the euro and the Canadian dollar, the aussie edged up to 92.89, 1.4458 and 0.9765 from yesterday’s closing quotes of 92.54, 1.4512 and 0.9726, respectively.
If the aussie extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 0.81 against the greenback, 96.00 against the yen, 1.39 against the euro and 1.00 against the loonie.
